What The Brand Needed
The Road Accident Fund (RAF) provides compulsory cover to all users of South African roads, citizens and foreigners, against injuries sustained or death arising from accidents involving motor vehicles within the borders of South Africa. This cover is in the form of indemnity insurance to persons who cause the accident, as well as personal injury and death insurance to victims of motor vehicle accidents, and their families.
The RAF is responsible for: providing appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; rehabilitating and compensating persons injured as a result of motor vehicles in a timely and caring manner; and actively promoting the safe use of all South African roads. The client base of the RAF comprises not only the South African public, but all foreigners within the borders of the country. The RAF provides two types of cover, namely personal insurance cover to accident victims or their families, and indemnity cover to wrongdoers. This Video was to inform and show individuals that might have been involved in an accident or lost a loved one through and accident ways that Road Accident Fund can assist through true stories' that Road Accident fund has encountered.

The crew focused on the following elements; In order to animate Lunga, what format do you need him in? Lunga will talk during the video – will you be able to animate his mouth? Used an attached scripts attached for the voice over artist – is this part of your service offering? Voice needs to be that of a young child. Followed an attached the design brief, which is for posters. This will show you what elements to highlight in each animation. For instance, video one, focus on preventative measures like washing hands, wearing a mask, etc. The video should include some copy too – see the below vids as examples. We included heading’s for each respective video (as per the design brief) Video length – I would like something short and punchy.
The Results
What Happened
This expectation of the video required us to be able to showcase the importance of driving safe on the roads at all times. Each year lives' are lost on the road and this would be to various reasons such as dinking and driving, speeding, none roadworthy vehicles and more. This project required pre-production, production and post-production on showing the benefits of road accident fund and ways they can help an individual that has lost his/her family member through and accident or you are the one that has gotten involved.
