What The Brand Needed

MTN 8 is the current branding for a South African soccer cup competition launched in 1972 for teams who finished in the top 8 positions of the league table of the country's preceding top-flight league season. In this season the cup required a campaign to draw its viewers to stand a chance to win big and various prizes while competing to win the grand prize of 1 million Rand. This competition had 2 professional chefs to prepare a meal for the contesters, which the contesters were required to mimic the dish on its taste and presentation. The judges would be the same chef’s as they would see which contestence made the exact dish or came close to making the dish judged by the taste and presentation.

Insights and Execution

The Voo C Media crew were required to come up with this unique competition which had many individuals participating and showing their creative cooking styles. This was a location shoot which we had to find and ensure that we set-up according to our treatment. We then shot and edited the entire competition providing it to our happy clients.

What Happened

The video was distributed to various social and video platforms and it gave us the opportunity to grow more and create more MTN 8 concepts shoot and edit to the clients expectations.
